Can we discriminate on the grounds of safety? Is there a set definition of a volunteer in law or legislation? Does the Anti-Discrimination Board have jurisdiction over volunteers? How long do we keep volunteer records for and why?
Natalie Neumann from Justice Connect hosted another successful workshop on Managing Volunteers: The Legal Issues with attendees from Bathurst, Orange, Western and Northern Sydney, Wollongong and the Central Coast.
The workshop was hosted by the Volunteer Support Services Programme at Palliative Care NSW in collaboration with Western Sydney LHD and held at the University of Western Sydney’s clinical school on the Blacktown Hospital campus.
If you missed the workshop you might like to check out the information on the Justice Connect Information Hub – Volunteers website and watch their Managing Volunteers video.
