Who can volunteer?

Who can volunteer?

Everyone is welcome to volunteer with Palliative Care. Our volunteers come from diverse backgrounds, from those working in trades, transport and sales, nursing, social work, medicine, law, hairdressing, administration, welfare work, training and education. They might be employed, unemployed, students or retirees. Keep the following in mind when considering to volunteers:

  • Generally over the age of 18
  • No formal qualifications or experiences required
  • Life experience and compassion are enormously beneficial

Palliative Care New South Wales is the peak body in NSW representing palliative care providers and those with an interest in palliative care. Palliative Care New South Wales is a member of the national peak body Palliative Care Australia.
