Behaviour tells a story. Discover how recognising unmet needs can transform the way we support people living with dementia providing simple strategies you can use with confidence.
Discover how understanding the person behind the behaviour can improve communication, reduce distress and enhance compassionate care. Whether you’re new to volunteering or have years of experience, this interactive session will provide practical tips, greater confidence and a deeper understanding of dementia to help you make an even greater difference to the people and families you support.
About the Presenter – Tatjana Jokic
Tatjana is the Managing Director of JK Corporate Resourcing and a Registered Psychologist with more than 26 years of experience in psychology, workplace rehabilitation, and organisational wellbeing. She has extensive expertise in supporting people living with dementia, cognitive impairment and complex psychosocial needs, and is the developer of the innovative Resident Ambassador Program, which has successfully reduced responsive behaviours and improved outcomes for individuals, families, and care staff. Tatjana is passionate about equipping volunteers and healthcare professionals with practical, compassionate strategies that enhance the quality of care and support for people living with dementia.
