Second session – Resilience in the face of adversity

  • by Kate Bowman
  • February 25, 2021

The second session of the very popular “Resilience in the face of adversity” workshop has been confirmed. The first session held on January 28 was over-subscribed and in order to accommodate all the participants we organised a repeat.

About the workshop:

Supporting grieving and bereaved people can be very rewarding as well as taxing. Burnout and Compassion Fatigue can be common experiences for the volunteer. In this session, you will be given the opportunity to explore these conditions and to discuss ways to nurture your well-being to facilitate resilience in the face of adversity, uncertainty and grief. This Zoom workshop has been specially created by Mirna Tarabay for palliative care volunteers. Mirna brings with her a wealth of experience in psychotherapy, counselling, and training and has previously facilitated our Accidental Counsellor training sessions.

If you were one of the people registered to attend that was advised to wait for the second session you will be contacted directly to confirm your attendance. At this time we regret we cannot accept new registrations.

NEW DATE:    Wednesday 31 March

TIME:                 10am – 12pm

WHERE:           Via Zoom
