Sharon Walsh from the The Leaders of Health Volunteer Engagement (LOHVE) Network has been gathering industry specific data on health volunteer programs every year for the last eight years. This is the first survey of its kind which uses longitudinal data to benchmark and track information about programs within the health volunteering sector.
The survey aims to provide information which will help improve these programs, show difference and commonality, and collate facts to promote health volunteer programs both internally and externally.
This year some questions have been included which touch on changes brought about by the COVID pandemic. This data will shed light on the various losses in terms of staff redeployment, number of volunteers no longer active, and other impacts.
Previous benchmark studies have proven to be beneficial by raising the profile of the network and some of the issues health volunteering programs face.
The survey is now open and will close on March 31.
If you are responsible for managing health volunteers within your organisation please click here to take the survey. Only one response per organisation, please.
