Meaning making and palliative care

Volunteers help people make meaning of their life and death journey.
Making meaning is a process, encouraging the person to explore what is meaningful in their lives. The end result may simply be a conversation. Or it might be something more tangible like a written biography, a gratitude journal, an advance care plan, a piece of art or highlight reel of pictures and writing.
If you like pictures and writing then take a look at Its About Us. The developers say:
We developed a digital scrapbook for you to customise and create something relevant and meaningful. Providing inspiration through simple, personalised template style pages will allow you to capture your memories, emotions and feelings, through text and photos within a supported framework.
The downloadable software is free and the end result is a PDF file which is even formatted for printing if you wish.
Developed by volunteers in NSW It’s About Us was initially created to help patients, family and friends affected by cancer, but it is adaptable for all patient’s with a life-limiting illness.
They would love you to check it out and let them know what you think. Click here for their website.
