Volunteer recruitment drive

Are you looking for something meaningful to do with your spare time?

Working in palliative care is one of the most rewarding choices you can make. Palliative care volunteers are actively involved in offering support and companionship to people receiving palliative care, their family, and carers. The desired outcome is to reduce the burden of their distress during dying, death and bereavement.

No formal qualifications are required as training is provided but life experience and compassion are enormously beneficial. Read more information about palliative care volunteering on this website.

The South Western Sydney Local Health District is currently looking to recruit new palliative care volunteers.

Join our wonderful team of palliative care volunteers!

This outstanding team won the 2021 Volunteer Team Award from the Centre for Volunteering for their innovative work caring for people through the COVID-19 pandemic.

No experience or formal qualifications are necessary. Our training covers everything you need to know.

If you are over 18 and interested in attending the training commencing in early February 2023, please contact the Palliative Care Volunteer Coordinator on 8738 9755.
