While our website, the Volunteer Hub, has information and resources to assist managers of palliative care volunteers in their role there are other organisations with resources which focus on volunteer management more broadly.

The Centre for Volunteering is the peak body for volunteering in NSW. Recently they launched new resources including a Volunteer Manager Handbook and Help Desk.

Their Volunteer Management Handbook has been designed to support new, existing and aspiring Volunteer Managers and Coordinators in their role.  It contains best practice resources, materials, and customisable templates, is aligned to the National Standards for Volunteer involvement and can be used to support your day-to-day operations.

Their Help Desk service draws on The Centre’s unique position as a peak body, spanning a wealth of knowledge and experience gained over across its 32 years in operation. It has been established to answer queries from all volunteer-involving organisations across NSW about issues relating to volunteers and volunteer management practices.

Volunteering Australia has a digital hub full of helpful information. It brings together useful, evidence-based and current best practice resources, tools, research and information to support effective volunteer management across Australia. It cover topics such as volunteer leadership and management, volunteer safety and wellbeing, volunteer recruitment, as well as volunteer support, development and recognition.
