The new Queanbeyan Regional Palliative Care Volunteer Service is off to a good start.  Following a media call-out and lots of energetic effort from the region’s Project Officer, Fiona Sivyer, there is already a full intake of volunteers for the service to begin.  The volunteers have already been trained and are ready to begin their valuable work in providing support for those with a life-limiting illness, and their families.

Check out what the local TV news had to say.

The service will continue to recruit volunteers for the next intake training.  Both men and women are encouraged to apply, as well as applicants from diverse backgrounds. Training in cultural diversity and safety is provided to all successful applicants.  Click here to find out more.
