Volunteers from HammondCare’s Northern Beaches palliative care service at Mona Vale Hospital were recently recognised for their dedication and contribution to volunteering in the Northern Beaches region.

The announcement was made as part of the NSW Volunteer of the Year Awards.

The NSW Volunteer of the Year Awards is an annual event run by The NSW Centre for Volunteering and is the biggest celebration of volunteering across the country.

Susan Brooks, Volunteer Coordinator, said “I am thrilled that the dedication and wonderful service of such an amazing team of volunteers at Northern Beaches Palliative Care Service has been acknowledged.”

The team will now represent the Northern Beaches region at the State Awards to be held in December.
