Volunteers learn the therapy of art for their Palliative Care role at Broken Hill

Broken Hill Palliative Care Volunteers recently participated in an experiential session on art therapy with Mia Vaux, resident art therapist contracted by Melissa Cumming, Director Cancer & Palliative Care Services to work with palliative care patients, carers and staff.
Melissa reported that “The volunteers thoroughly enjoyed their experience, even requesting another session!!”
In addition to supporting the volunteers, the session was also aimed at giving the volunteers an idea of what art therapy is in order to promote it with palliative care patients and carers.
