- December 4, 2023
Ahead of International Volunteer Day, The Centre for Volunteering launched their 2023 New South Wales State of Volunteering Report. This Report helps us to understand the impact, value, benefits, and resilience of volunteering.
The report sheds light on volunteering trends within NSW and is a powerful tool for advocacy. One of the key findings shows that for every dollar invested there is a return of approximately $5.50. That is a 550% return on investment.
The report provides an assessment of the social, economic, and cultural impact of volunteering and includes detailed socio-economic data. Volunteering outcomes have been benchmarked and analysed for comparison against 2020 data collected for the 2021 State of Volunteering Report.
Key Findings
The 2023 State of Volunteering Report shines a light on the resilience of the sector which has faced unprecedented challenges such as bushfires, COVID19, and a cost of living crisis.
