Based in Murwillumbah, Tweed Palliative Support (TPS) serves their Northern Rivers community with palliative support in the home. Since 2015, they have also been operating Wedgetail Retreat, NSW’s only independent stand-alone community hospice and respite care centre.

TPS also supplies medical aids such as electrical hospital beds, lifters, wheelie walkers, wheelchairs and the like to palliative patients in the community. Up to 50% of their funding comes from running local Op Shops which are managed by the indomitable Edna Gorton OAM, who turned 90 this year!

TPS recently celebrated 25 years providing hospice at home. On Saturday 25th November current and past volunteers, members, and supporters came together to enjoy a party and recognise this momentous achievement.

“We are very fortunate to enjoy enormous community support so we can continue to provide our services free of charge.”
