Women & Leadership Australia (WLA) is dedicated to developing female leaders and supporting the increased presence of women in business and community leadership roles. They believe that supporting a greater percentage of women to step up into leadership across all vocations and industries will have tremendous cultural and economic benefits.​

End of year funding grants are currently available to women who work in the health care sector to support their participation in a professional development program. The fee support opportunity provides a scholarship of up to $5,000 for women to take part in one of three leadership courses.

The grants have been provisioned for use by women right across the country, with a specific focus on the health care sector, but must be allocated by the end of 2020. The programs are suitable for junior managers right through to executive level women.

The initiative is providing women with grants of between $1,000 and $5,000 to enable participation in one of three programs that cover such things as elements of a successful team, communication, presence and influence, driving performance, problem solving and decision making, and progressing diversity and inclusion.

The scholarship funding is provided with the specific intent of providing powerful and effective development opportunities for health care sector women but has to be allocated by the end of 2020.
