Representing palliative care volunteers, Anne Adamson has been selected as one of three finalists for a Westfield Miranda Local Heroes grant.

The three finalists have now progressed to the community voting phase where the finalist with the most votes will become the Westfield Local Hero for Miranda and be awarded a grant of $20,000 for the organisation they represent. The other two finalists will receive a $5,000 grant for their organisation.

Anne Adamson is a compassionate volunteer with Illawarra Palliative Care at Bulli Hospital, providing heartfelt companionship, comfort, and support to patients and families during life’s hardest moments. Anne’s passion and unwavering kindness has inspired others to join Illawarra Palliative Care’s volunteer service and positively impacted the lives of many in the local community

If Anne is successful, the grant will fund specialised training, volunteer support, and resources that enhance compassionate care for patients and families. We encourage you to throw your support behind her and her service by voting and sharing this post so others can do so too.

Voting is open from 19 August to 8 September 2025.  To vote, please go to the  Westfield Miranda website.
