HammondCare is currently seeking a Volunteer Coordinator for Greenwich and Neringah Hospitals who will be responsible for leading and growing a vibrant volunteer service that provides volunteer assistance to patients, families, and staff.

Greenwich Hospital is a 78 bed subacute hospital providing three main in-patient services; palliative care, rehabilitation, and older persons mental health. Neringah Hospital is a 18 bed hospital providing palliative care.

The essence of this role:

• Recruitment and onboarding of volunteers

• Coordinating the training of volunteers. Ensuring volunteers have completed all mandatory training and have received opportunity for other training relevant to their role
• Scheduling volunteers in a way that complements and enhances the existing paid service and patient activities
• Develop, support and guide a team of volunteers visiting in various wards across 2 locations.
