Volunteer Biographers feature on ABC 7:30 Report
- by Maria Lopez
- November 14, 2018
This story was screened on the ABC 7:30 Report on the 13th of November 2018. It tells the story of a volunteer biography service in Victoria and patients Natalie Noble and John Cott.
Natalie recalls that “one day one of the (palliative care) nurses said ‘would you like to have your biography done?'”
Natalie is writing letters to her young daughters knowing that she might not be alive when they are old enough to read for themselves.
“I’ve decided to write the letters so that at each stage of their life they always have something to refer to – when they are feeling stressed, when they have relationship problems, in puberty…”
Click here to watch the video on ABC iview (see episode Tuesday 13th of November – the story starts about 18m32s into the video). Available until 8:00pm on 13 December 2018.
