Report explores life of Paediatric Hospice Volunteers

  • by Maria Lopez
  • January 11, 2017

Paediatric palliative care volunteers represent about 10% of all palliative care volunteers in NSW. They have a particularly strong presence in the paediatric hospice and respite service located in Manly NSW.

Who is involved? Why do they get involved? How do they make sense of their experience in supporting children and families during respite as well as approaching or at the end of their lives?

In collaboration with Bear Cottage the Volunteer Support Services Programme wrote about the findings of a survey of paediatric palliative care volunteers.
