PalliLEARN: Free short online courses for volunteers in palliative care
- by Maria Lopez
- January 21, 2025
PalliLEARN is about easy-to-understand introductory short courses designed to cultivate knowledge and compassion around palliative care and end-of-life-care, dying, death and grieving.
Volunteers working in the paediatric space may find the Talking To Children About Dying & Grief course on February 11 particularly valuable. For those who volunteer with children, understanding how to navigate difficult conversations about serious illness, dying, death and grief is essential.
This module will provide important skills to support children through grief, helping volunteers to communicate sensitively and effectively.
On February 25, you can also attend to Your Role in a Compassionate Community course. Anyone is able to register for the courses. There is no requirement for training or experience within the health or palliative care space which makes it great for anyone who is a carer or family member of someone with a life-limiting illness.
