We want to acknowledge our Volunteers on National Carers Week that runs from Sunday 16 to Saturday 22 October 2022.
National Carers Week is an opportunity to recognise, celebrate, and raise awareness among all Australians about the diversity of Australia’s 2.65 million carers and their caring roles.
1-in-10 Australians provide unpaid care and support to family members or friends with a disability, mental illness, chronic condition, terminal illness, an alcohol or other drug issue or who are frail aged. Unpaid carers make an enormous contribution to our community as well as our economy and National Carers Week gives everyone a chance to show their appreciation.
There are FREE events happening during the week, both online and face to face in NSW and other states too.
