Legal issues and volunteers

How does the Civil Liability Act apply to volunteers? Did you know that intellectual property created by a volunteer is treated differently to that created by an employee?
Last Friday a group of managers met online and face to face to hear about legal issues and volunteer support from Natalie and Savi from Justice Connect, a non-government organisation that specialises in legal training and advice.
Participants came from palliative care volunteers services, aged care and cancer support, including a few managers who flew in from South Australia.
The full day workshop was hosted by the NSW Network of Managers of Palliative Care Volunteer Support Services and supported by Palliative Care NSW.
