The Palliative Care Team at the Broken Hill Cancer and Palliative Care Service, have created a fabulous resource which highlights the value of palliative care volunteers.

Via a series of short interviews, we hear about the palliative care volunteer service from a variety of perspectives – those of the volunteer manager, volunteers, and carers. They are a testament to the mark the volunteers leave through their compassion, care, and dedication to their clients.

“These clips are provided as a way to help publicise the importance of this service and the great work by the volunteers and carers,” says Janet Pearce, Palliative Care Volunteer Coordinator.

“If you are unsure as to why you might need the support of a volunteer, or how they might benefit you or your carer, these recordings speak volumes in only a few short minutes.”
