Heidi is a Your Story competition winner!

In March-April we asked volunteers to enter their story in a writing competition. The prize? To have their entry published in a text book on palliative care volunteering.

Good news! The judges were so impressed by the quality of the entries that they have selected not one but two winning entries. Both will be published.

One of the winners is Heidi Hodder who wrote an insightful story about her involvement with community volunteering.

Her story captured the sense of challenge, satisfaction and humanness that is part of palliative care volunteering.

The proposed title for the book to be published next year is Changing Face of Volunteering in Hospice and Palliative Care: An International Perspective (edited by Dr Ros Scott and Steven Howlett).

Congratulations Heidi!

Stay tuned for news about our other winner.
