Golden Hearted Volunteers

It was National Volunteer Week last week, and even though that’s over, we find ways to recognise and celebrate the service of volunteers every single day!

Here is a special message from South Western Sydney LHD, to all of their much-loved volunteers.

“Dear Volunteers, the staff and I send a big “Hi & Wave” with a virtual hug to you all –  to recognise, celebrate and thank you for the role you play in palliative care.  The patients, families and staff have missed you this past year, but can feel your valuable presence, regardless. You are very much an integral part of the team and we miss you all. To all our volunteers who have continued to provide support from a distance we appreciate your dedication and support.” Arlene Roache Volunteer Coordinator | SWS LHD Palliative Care Service

According to one of the Staff Specialist at SWS LHD, “The spirit of volunteerism can only come from one who has a golden heart.  Keep on, keep strong and thank you!”
