Palliative Care NSW is proud to announce that a Community Hospice Forum in July to discuss the role and future of community hospice. Come and listen, learn and share ideas.
Community Hospice Forum – Thursday 21st July 2016
Location: Salt Bar, Kingscliff. The management of Salt Bar have generously donated the venue for this event, thanks to their relationship with Tweed Palliative Support and their support for hospice care.
Nearest airport: Gold Coast Airport, about 20 minutes drive from the venue.
Accommodation: Peppers and Mantra onsite, other accommodation options nearby.
Content overview: Service delivery context, experiences in other jurisdictions, practices and challenges, collaboration with hospitals and services, funding, community engagement, the future.
We would like to acknowledge the generous assistance and contribution of Tweed Palliative Support in bring this Forum to life.
Optional site visit to Wedgetail Retreat – Wednesday 20th July 2016
Join us late-afternoon on the day before the Forum for a site-visit to Wedgetail Retreat, the community hospice operated by Tweed Palliative Support in the forest behind Murwillumbah. Transport included.
