If you are caring for someone with a life-limiting illness or supporting someone who is, CarerHelp is offering free education to guide carers on their journey.

There are three sessions for carers to choose from and places are strictly limited:

Session 1: Preparing for caring as illness advances (Presenter: Molly Carlile AM)

2 September or 14 October

In this one hour session, an experienced palliative care nurse will explain the role of caring for someone who has been diagnosed with a life-limiting illness or advanced disease. This is a great opportunity to get informed and prepare for the path ahead.

Session 2: Preparing for the last weeks (Presenter: Molly Carlile AM):

2 September or 14 October

Many people do not like to think about dying, but we know that outcomes are better if people are prepared and know what to expect ahead of time. In this one hour session, an experienced palliative care nurse will explain what to expect in the last weeks of life.

Session 3: Life beyond loss: Finding your way through grief (Presenter: Chris Hall AM)

26 August or 23 September

This one hour online session is designed for family members and friends who are bereaved after caring for someone who died from an advanced disease or terminal illness. It offers guidance and support to help you navigate grief, understand its effects, and find ways to care for yourself while honouring your loved one’s memory.
