The 2026 Census in August presents an important opportunity to highlight the important role of volunteer management. For the first time, Volunteer Coordinator will be included as one of the listed occupations on the form.
If you lead, coordinate, or manage volunteers we encourage you to select this category when filling in your Census form come August. You will find this occupation listed under the section called Other Community and Welfare Support Workers.
Help make volunteering count. Learn more about the Census on the Australian Bureau of Statistics website.
