2025 NSW Palliative Care Volunteer of the Year Award

Palliative Care NSW recognises the important contribution of volunteers. They dedicate their time to improving the quality of life for individuals and families facing the significant challenges that accompany a life-limiting illness.

To honour their selflessness and compassion, we are pleased to announce the introduction of an annual award for NSW Palliative Care Volunteer of the Year. This award will highlight the vital role volunteers play in providing comfort and care during difficult times and show our deep gratitude for their service.

Four volunteers have been selected as finalists:

Garry Richards – Southern Highlands Community Hospice
John Curtin – HammondCare Greenwich
Stephanye Holden – Livable, Grafton
Kevin Stokes – Great Lakes Palliative Care
