Pause at the Art Gallery of NSW

On 14 December 2023, volunteers from the Sacred Heart Biography Service celebrated the end of their year with the Pause program in the new North Building of the Art Gallery of NSW. This program was generously offered by Senior Access Programs Producer Danielle Gullotta to the team to allow them to pause, take some time out of their busy end-of-year schedules and enjoy the beautiful artworks and surroundings of the new building.
The program is a partnership between the Art Gallery of NSW, Palliative Care NSW, UNSW and UTS and has been developed for those supporting someone receiving palliative care, as a professional, volunteer or carer. The guided experience of looking at and engaging with the artworks allows participants to reflect and share insights on art and life. The volunteers had a wonderful morning in the gallery, followed by lunch in the café and a meeting to round off the year.
