Nominations are now open for the 2026 NSW Palliative Care Volunteer Awards.

Palliative Care NSW recognises the invaluable contribution of volunteers who generously dedicate their time to improving the quality of life for individuals and families facing the significant challenges that accompany a life-limiting illness.

To honour their selflessness and compassion, we are pleased to announce the second year of the NSW Palliative Care Volunteer of the Year Award, and the introduction of a new category: NSW Palliative Care Volunteer Team of the Year.

These awards will highlight the vital role volunteers play in providing comfort and care during difficult times and show our deep gratitude for their service.

• Do you work in palliative care and have seen first-hand the impact of a special volunteer team?
• Do you know an outstanding palliative care volunteer?
• Are you part of, or leading a volunteer team that’s making a difference in your community?

• Nominations close: Friday 27 February
• Judging period: Tuesday 3 – Tuesday 24 March
• Finalists announced: Tuesday 31 March
• Winners announced: during National Volunteer Week (18-24 May 2026)
