UTS Research Project is seeking volunteers who are willing to share their experiences of bereavement and mourning during the pandemic

Researchers at the University of Technology Sydney invite you to take part in a research study that explores the experiences and support needs of culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) populations bereaved from any cause during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The experience of CALD people during the pandemic may be unique from other Australians. Many have come from conflict in their country of origin and are experiencing distress about what is happening with the COVID-19 pandemic in their homeland, or have relatives overseas or in remote communities.

If you are an Australian transcultural health worker who has supported someone who has experienced a death from any cause during 2020-2021, your participation in sharing the experiences of your community and your experiences of working with them during COVID-19 is greatly appreciated.

The researchers hope to use this information to help develop a national plan for bereavement support during the COVID-19 pandemic and any future pandemics.

Participation is voluntary and involves a 40-minute phone or ZOOM interview conducted by a University of Technology Sydney researcher
