South Western Sydney welcomes their new manager

There’s a lot of palliative care volunteering going on in South Western Sydney. Over the last few years the service has expanded out from Liverpool Hospital to cover areas including Bankstown, Bowral, Fairfield, Camden, and Campbelltown Hospitals.
With such a busy service to oversee, District Palliative Care Volunteer Manager, Arlene Roache, has found she needs a second Volunteer Manager to help keep things running smoothly. This additional role was created to look after all the palliative care volunteers engaged in community settings.
Taking up the position is Keira McEvoy. Keira has previously supported health volunteers at Braeside Hospital and most recently ran the national volunteering program at SHINE for kids, supporting children and young people impacted by parental incarceration.
Keira says, “My goal is to grow our community volunteer service to support more patients/clients in community and work alongside Arlene Roache to support a full volunteer service at the district level for Palliative Care Services”.
Welcome, Keira. We all look forward to working with you.
