Congratulations to Dr Kristin Bindley, Bereavement Counsellor and Clinical Lead in the Western Sydney LHD Supportive and Palliative Care Service, who was recently awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia.
Kristin received this incredible honour in acknowledgement of her work for the community through palliative care initiatives.
“I feel both humbled and grateful,” Kristin said.
“I am deeply aware that I am just one of many committed and dedicated people who work very hard. I see this award as a reflection of these people, with whom I’m privileged to serve – the many extraordinary staff and volunteers within the Supportive & Palliative Care Service in western Sydney, and the wonderful community of Bereavement Counselling practitioners in NSW.”
