International Volunteer Managers Day is on November 5

International Volunteer Managers Day is celebrated on 5 November each year and seeks to recognise the important work which those who lead volunteers make in the process of effective volunteering.
2022 theme is “Many Backgrounds – One Profession – Stronger Together”
This theme conveys a strength the volunteer leadership sector possesses: the huge and diverse range of backgrounds that volunteering leaders come from.
On this day we want to let our Palliative Care Volunteer Managers know how much we value them, celebrating how skilled they actually are in order to help volunteers in the sector be part of the solution in meeting community and patients needs. YOU do practice the art of the possible.
Volunteer Managers change lives — both the lives of volunteers themselves and of those served by well-led volunteers.
Volunteer managers provide the leadership and direction that allows people to build a good society.
It is a life-changing profession and for those in Palliative Care we appreciate you and we see you!
You have a special place in our heart, thank you for all you do!
