Palliative Care NSW is currently seeking to progress palliative care services by introducing new palliative care volunteer services in Southern NSW.

Our aim is to offer more support for people facing a life-limiting illness, their families and carers.

So we can better understand local needs and expectations we are calling on consumers and carers from the region to share with us their thoughts.

Palliative care volunteers can offer those with a life limiting illness, their families and carers:

• compassionate, non-judgmental, confidential, social and emotional support and companionship
• practical assistance where appropriate, such as carer respite or transport to shopping, outings, appointments, visits to friends/relatives

Though they are not medical staff, palliative care volunteers are highly trained and endorsed by the local Specialist Palliative Care team.

Do you live within the Southern NSW Local Health District? (e.g. Goulburn, Queanbeyan, Cooma, Bega, the Eurobodalla and surrounding areas)

Are you currently receiving specialist palliative care, OR are a family member or carer of someone who is?
