Congratulations to Mary Vincent!

Mary has been a Palliative Care volunteer since 2016 with the Mt Druitt Palliative Care Service and we are thrilled that she has been named an individual award finalist in the 23rd Annual NSW Health Awards.

Mary is a dedicated and a compassionate volunteer who always shows her kindness to patients and families. She makes people around her feel cared, loved and accepted enhancing the human connection, which is an invaluable contribution in Palliative Care.

The NSW Health Awards recognise innovative and sustainable health programs that deliver outcomes that matter to patients and invests in the wellness of the NSW community.

We agree with the Volunteer Manager Supportive and Palliative Care Services in Western Sydney LHD, Kylie Clark, when she said that “It’s nice to have palliative care volunteers considered for this award” It is indeed!

Looking forward to the Awards ceremony that will be hosted on 19 May 2022.
