Every year, Josephine Tsangarides and her family host a Christmas party raising money and presents for local charities. For the past 16 years, the Concord Palliative Care Unit, where Josephine used to volunteer, has been one of the lucky beneficiaries.

Jacqueline Martinez, Volunteer Coordinator, says, ” Although Josephine doesn’t volunteer for us anymore, we are still blessed to be recipients of her efforts.”

“Thanks to the gifts and donations from Josephine we are able to gift all our inpatients a lovely token on Christmas Day when our Head of Palliative Care visits the ward and distributes the gifts. This tradition is something that we are proud to offer not only our in-patients but also for our Community Families with young children.”

“This year in particular with many families effected by the current cost of living, we are so grateful to Josephine and her family for sharing so many gifts, chocolates and gift cards. It really enabled us to bring a smile to many faces this festive season.”
