Call for papers open for the Palliative Care NSW 2024 State Conference

Call for Papers, Case Studies, Posters and Workshops/Panels are now open for the PCNSW 2024 State Conference, to be held in Tamworth, 31 October – 2 November.
We are looking for presentations and speakers from diverse backgrounds that will inspire, inform, engage and challenge the audience. From students to those who have been working in the sector for many years, from multidisciplinary backgrounds, from those working in health to those working externally to health, from across NSW, Australia or globally.
One of the highlighted sub-themes is Palliative Care Volunteering: Creating and fostering successful volunteer partnerships within services
Topics that your submission could cover include:
- Establishing volunteer services
- The case for a volunteer coordinator/manager role
- Volunteering in regional and rural areas
- Volunteer training and role establishment
- A volunteer workforce vs a paid workforce
- Volunteer referral pathways
- Volunteer success stories
Call for paper closes on 14 May and successful applicants will be notified by 17 June.
Speakers are entitled to a discounted registration fee for the conference.
