Volunteer Management Working Group
- by Kate Bowman
- February 3, 2022
Volunteering Australia wants to reimagine the future of volunteering and to do so they are seeking the input of Volunteer Managers.
Work has begun on The National Strategy of Volunteering. To ensure a strong foundation for best-practice volunteer involvement they are calling for Expressions of Interest for two Working Groups: the Volunteer Management and Corporate Volunteering Working Groups.
The Volunteer Management Working Group will bring together volunteering professionals to discuss how the National Strategy for Volunteering can be informed by best-practice volunteer involvement. Volunteering Australia recognises there is considerable volunteer management and leadership experience throughout Australia, and wants to ensure this expertise is reflected in the National Strategy.
More information on the purpose and scope of the Working Groups can be found on the Volunteering Australia website. Applications are open now, and close at 5pm (AEDT) on Wednesday 9 February 2022.
