Registrations open – Community Hospice Forum, Kingscliff, 21 July 2016

Registrations are now open!

The theme of the forum is Community Hospice: Community engagement in end-of-life care.

What is going on in NSW and QLD? What can we learn from NZ and the UK? Come to this one day event, hear, share and have your say about the role of community hospice in end of life and palliative care.

Also – Join us at a pre-forum event! On the evening before come with us to Wedgetail Retreat, NSW’s only community hospice. This is a free event for registrants.

Hosted by: Palliative Care NSW in conjunction with Tweed Palliative Support

Wednesday 20 July 2016: Visit and reception at Wedgetail Retreat in Dulguigan, Tweed Valley.

Transport: Departing Salt Bar and Bistro (forum venue) at 3pm

Wedgetail Retreat visit and reception 4pm – 6pm

Arrive back at Salt Bar and Bistro by 7pm

Thursday 21 of July 2016: Community Hospice Forum

Registrations from 8:30am

Forum: 9am – 4pm

Venue: Salt Bar and Bistro, South Kingscliff, NSW

Forum overview: Experiences in other jurisdictions, service delivery context, practices and challenges, collaboration with the health care system, funding, community engagement, the future.

Program: Full program will be available soon.

Nearest airport: Gold Coast Airport, about 20 minutes by car from the venue.

Accommodation: Peppers and Mantra onsite, other accommodation options nearby.

Come to the sunny north of NSW in the middle of winter 2016! We would like to acknowledge the generous assistance and contribution of Tweed Palliative Support in bring this Forum to life.
