Art that starts a conversation
- by Maria Lopez
- October 6, 2026
Life and death are deeply personal, yet universal experiences, and art has a unique way of helping us connect, reflect and begin the conversations that matter most.
The 2027 Live Well, Die Well Art Prize, presented by Palliative Care Australia and Arcare Family Foundation, invites artists of all ages and backgrounds to share their creative vision on the theme, ‘Conversations about end of life’.
This year’s Art Prize features an expanded $30,000 prize pool, with more opportunities to recognise and reward outstanding artists across a range of categories.
Your entry, whether reflective or bold, should reflect the power of storytelling through visual art, move people to see the beauty in life and tenderness in loss.
