Bringing Volunteer Managers together

- August 27, 2026
This year marks an exciting milestone for the NSW palliative care community, with the NSW Palliative Care Volunteer Managers Conference being held concurrently with the NSW Palliative Care State Conference for the very first time.
Bringing palliative care volunteer managers together alongside palliative care professionals creates a unique opportunity to share knowledge, strengthen networks, and celebrate the vital contribution volunteers make to palliative and end-of-life care services across NSW.
Program announced
Whether you have spent years leading palliative care volunteer programs or are relatively new to managing and coordinating palliative care volunteers, the 2026 NSW Palliative Care Volunteer Managers Conference offers a program tailored to support and inspire you.
The organising committee has carefully crafted a diverse and engaging agenda that addresses the challenges, opportunities, and evolving landscape of volunteer management in palliative care. Attendees will have opportunities to learn from peers, exchange ideas, and gain practical insights that can be applied within their own organisations.
Conference delegates are invited to kick off the event at the Welcome Reception on Monday evening, providing a valuable opportunity to connect with colleagues and build relationships before the program begins.
Event Location: Sydney Masonic Centre. 66 Goulburn St, Sydney NSW 2000
Dates: Mon, 19 Oct 2026 – Wed, 21 Oct 2026

We encourage anyone who manages, coordinates, or oversees volunteers involved in palliative or end-of-life care to attend.
While the Volunteer Managers Network is centred in New South Wales, we warmly welcome volunteer managers from interstate and overseas. The conference provides an excellent forum for networking, sharing experiences, and learning from colleagues working in a variety of settings and jurisdictions.
