Abstracts are open and Early Bird tickets are now on sale for the 2026 Volunteering NSW State Conference. Hosted by The Centre for Volunteering, the conference will be held on Monday 25 May in Sydney and live streamed to 3 NSW regional centres.

The theme Leadership that Transforms Communities aligns with their vision to build diverse and inclusive communities through volunteering. The conference will explore current issues shaping the future of volunteering, with a strong focus on volunteer leadership.

Professional leaders in volunteer-involving organisations from across NSW will gather to learn, exchange ideas, and network amongst their peers to help shape a more resilient, supportive, and inclusive sector. Around three hundred delegates are expected to attend.

A call for abstracts from presenters who wish to share their industry knowledge and experience with delegates is now open. The Centre for Volunteering invite you to submit abstracts that address innovative strategies, practical solutions, and emerging trends in volunteer engagement. Their three sub-themes are:

• Empowerment and Capacity Building
• Innovation and Adaptability
• Inclusive Leadership for Diverse Communities

Deadline for abstract submission is 5:00 pm, Tuesday 27 January 2026.
