Donated by Maitland Men’s Shed and community member Sonya Hambrook, the Volunteers for Palliative Care’s rocking horse raffle has been drawn by Jenny Aitchison, member for Maitland.
The event took place on June 24, raising $740 which will go towards Volunteers for Palliative Care’ services, such as patient transport.
The winner donated the rocking horse to a friend with a three-year-old girl who was, indeed, very happy about receiving it!
After two years with restriction on fundraising events due to Covid-19, Kathleen Iles, volunteer at Volunteers for Palliative Care said the organisation was very grateful for the donation.
