As National Volunteer Week (NVW) 2025 approaches, the official resources are now available to help organisations, communities, and individuals celebrate the vital contributions of volunteers. With the theme “Connecting Communities”, NVW 2025 shines a spotlight on the extraordinary impact that volunteers have in bringing people together and fostering inclusive, thriving communities.
This year’s celebration, which will take place from May 17 to May 23, 2025, invites volunteer-involving organisations, governments, researchers, corporations, and other enabling entities to join in the festivities and acknowledge the spirit of connection that volunteering creates. National Volunteer Week is a time to honour the remarkable individuals who selflessly offer their time and skills to support a wide range of causes.
Volunteering Australia has released a suite of resources including logos, certificates, invitations, posters, social media images, email and web banners, and even printable selfie frames, making it easy for organisations and individuals to get involved and promote the event.
PCNSW and our Volunteer Services Support Program encourages everyone to use these resources widely to ensure volunteers receive the recognition they deserve and to raise awareness of the positive changes volunteers make in the lives of others. Organisations are encouraged to share stories of their volunteers, host appreciation events, and engage with the broader community to highlight the spirit of giving back. Please send your stories to [email protected] to be featured in our newsletter and socials
Volunteers can join the conversation and share their experiences on social media using the official event hashtag #NVW2025, helping to amplify the message of community connection across the nation.
