3 Bridges Training

3 Bridges Training is based in the Hurstville/Menai area (south Sydney). Amongst their offerings are a Safe Home Visiting workshop which looks at processes and strategies that need to be in place in order to ensure safety of workers and volunteers when they are visiting clients in their own home including risk assessment, WHS, protective behaviour and duty of care. Leep

Based in Penrith the technology and volunteer not for profit organisation Leep offers training for volunteers in a range of topics including boundaries, self-care and accidential counselling. Leep provide tailored, on-site training as a fee for service offering, as well as free training sessions, which are open to volunteers throughout Western Sydney. https://leep.ngo/

School of Volunteer Management

The School of Volunteer Management is based at the Rocks in Sydney and is attached to the Centre for Volunteering. Amongt their program is The Art of Teaching Adults, an introduction to facilitation for new and existing facilitators (Volunteer managers/ managers who facilitate groups of Volunteers and or staff). They can also hold workshops on subject including Legal Issues and Volunteering, and Recruiting and Managing Volunteers as well as qualifications in volunteer management up to and including the Diploma of Management. Certificate 4 in Coordination of Volunteer Programs

For new, experienced or aspiring Volunteer Managers and Coordinators The Centre for Volunteering offers a 1 year Certificate IV in Coordination of Volunteer Programs. The course is mainly self-paced learning using electronic media resources through The Centre of Volunteering’s online learning platform. Allow for 10 hours plus reading time per week. The course must be completed within one year. The course is structured to fit in around your working environment so many assessment activities will be drawn from on-the-job activities and experiences. STARS Training

Based at Lakemba Stars have a full program of training relevant to volunteer management and volunteering including Legal Issues in Home Visiting (for Managers of Volunteers), Working within Boundaries, Mindfulness, and Listening and Responding to Service Users’ Needs. They also have a program of online learning including Advocacy, Privacy and Confidentiality, Workplace Health and Safety and Working with Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Older People.
