Throughout 2018, we have hosted several forums in various locations around NSW. The topic was "Spirituality and Reflective Practice in Palliative Care".
Beginning the tour in March in Wagga Wagga, we then went on to Mt Druitt in April, Port Macquarie in May and Warilla (Illawarra) in June. The next one is scheduled for Broken Hill in August.
The forums provided a fantastic opportunity for people who care for the dying to come together to share and reflect on their experiences.
We were very lucky to have Kate Englebrecht taking the lead. Kate is a very warm and engaging speaker and her insights and reflections on an individual's search for meaning and purpose at the end of life were well received.
The forums were very popular but NSW is a big place and still there were many who were unable to attend. Fortunately for those who missed out we were able to record the Mt Druitt session and now offer it to you here.
You can listen to the audio recording by clicking on the media player below. If you would like to download this mp3 file to listen to later, hover over the file title, right click and then 'save target as'.
Just over half way through there was a video shown: 'Johnny – Lessons from the Long Paddock'. Click here to watch the video on YouTube.
We hope you enjoy it.
