Running Volunteer Programs for Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) backgrounds

Thursday 30th November 10am-12, The Rocks. The NSW Centre for Volunteering are promoting an networking event Running Volunteer Programs for Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) backgrounds.

"Organisations within the not for profit sector have been required to take on a variety of programs with a growing need to manage the changing and increasing diversity in our communities and workplaces. There is an increasing need to understand the experiences and challenges that can present when working with volunteers from varying cultural backgrounds.

"Our presenter is from Marist180, a not-for-profit organisation committed to empowering people with skills, knowledge, practical support and encouragement. They strive to care for all who need support and hope, from people without a home to those seeking asylum and advocate and work towards education, employment, and social inclusion, empowering people to take steps to achieve positive change. The speaker will share their CALD program knowledge, experiences and challenges and determining best practice for your organisation and engaging the volunteer base".
